The European Parliament on 26 March 2026 decided to lift the parliamentary immunity of Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun so he can be prosecuted in Poland for denying the Auschwitz genocide in two public interviews.

The European Parliament passed a resolution to waive MEP Grzegorz Braun’s parliamentary immunity, allowing Polish prosecutors to investigate and charge him with alleged crimes.

On March 10, 2026 the European Parliament adopted a resolution asking the Commission to tweak a rule that makes the EU’s external aid guarantees work better, and told the Commission to send it back if they make major changes.

The EU’s 2024‑2029 air passenger rights rules give travelers bigger cash payouts for delays, cancellations or denied boarding, free meals and lodging when flights are late, clearer baggage limits, help for kids and disabled people, and easier ways to file complaints, all to make flying fairer and safer.

The resolution aims to increase funding for humanitarian aid, especially for women and children, and supports international cooperation to address the needs of 305 million people requiring urgent assistance.

This resolution says the EU must use its rule‑of‑law power to pause or stop funding to member states that break democracy, and it asks for clearer rules, faster action, better coordination with other tools, protection for people already promised money, stronger whistle‑blower channels, and more oversight.
