This resolution is the European Parliament’s approval of a draft regulation that updates the EU’s 2021‑2027 budget plan and tells the Council, Commission, and national parliaments to move forward with it.

On 11 Feb 2026 the Parliament gave its consent to a draft Council regulation (5470/2026) that amends the EU’s multiannual financial framework for 2021‑2027. It also instructed its President to forward this decision to the Council, the Commission and national parliaments. The Council had requested consent under Article 312(2) of the EU Treaty and Article 106a of the Euratom Treaty (C10‑0023/2026). The resolution follows Rules 94, 107(1) and (4), 170(6) of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure and is adopted under a special legislative procedure – consent.
