With the Digital Networks Act, we’re entering a new era. It will make it easier for providers to operate across EU, support the transition from copper to full high-speed fibre, strengthen preparedness against natural disasters and foreign interference, simplify & clarify rules.

Marion MARÉCHAL (France)

@MarionMarechal

✌🏻🚜 Victory for our farmers! Today, the European Parliament decided to bring the EU agreement with Mercosur countries before the courts, so it is suspended for 18 months. This is a victory for our farmers, achieved thanks to a long effort led by our Identité Libertés elected members of the ECR group in the European Parliament—Marion Maréchal, Laurence Trochu, Guillaume Peltier, and Nicolas Bay—to convince the deputies: every vote counted. Ursula von der Leyen had forced the split of the agreement into two parts, a political and a commercial one, the latter not requiring unanimity of the states in the European Council. That is how she was able to trample on French, Polish, and Romanian interests, aided by the complacent weakness shown by Emmanuel Macron. We remain realistic because this is only a stay. But this stay gives hope: either the Court will censure the agreement, or, thanks to these 18 months of suspension, we will be able to intensify pressure to push back the Commission. The Council is now facing its responsibilities. If it decides to apply the agreement provisionally, it will violate the European Parliament's decision and betray the interests of the EU's main agricultural nations. Emmanuel Macron must finally act to impose himself and do what we have been demanding for months: threaten to freeze the French contribution to the EU budget and veto the next European multiannual financial framework. South American countries do not respect our standards, feed their livestock with hormones and antibiotics, spray their fruits and vegetables with pesticides banned in the EU, without traceability. Is that what we want on our plates? Marion Maréchal, Laurence Trochu, Guillaume Peltier, and Nicolas Bay will not give up and will continuously stand by our farmers to win this fight. It concerns the survival of our French agriculture, our food sovereignty, and the future we want for our children. __📲 Share on X! 👉 Join Identité Libertés!

Our digital rights in the EU are in danger! Instead of defending our democracy and privacy, Ursula von der Leyen weakens protection against tech giants and their AI. Let’s put pressure together: demand that she does not give in.

Countries confirmed so far for Trump's Peace Council, which is intended to create a new international order without nonsense such as international law: United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Morocco, Hungary, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Kosovo, and Israel. Putin is apparently pressuring Trump, but that would be to keep him from wanting peace!

Great speech. @mark-carney.bsky.social “Risk management comes at a price, but that cost of strategic autonomy can also be shared. Collective investments in resilience are cheaper than everyone building their own fortresses. Shared standards reduce fragmentations”. globalnews.ca/news/1162087...
