Chat Control 1.0 is unfortunately back. The EP did not reject the proposal that will again allow platforms to scan private communication. It is a defeat for privacy and a dangerous precedent. I am disappointed with the voting of Czech colleagues who recently voted against Chat Control, and now they claim that no mass scanning is involved.
