Czechia issued more than 100 licenses for surveillance technologies even to countries such as Iraq, Pakistan or Somalia. The rules I worked on are meant to prevent their misuse against journalists or the opposition. The public has a right to know what risks the Ministry of Interior assessed. The response from the Ministry of Interior did not convince me – I will ask the minister directly.
