One should remember: Ignazio Cassis, for example, justified the practice of counting deaths as COVID deaths in a blanket manner, citing WHO recommendations. Politics has repeatedly invoked these recommendations – and now acts as if it had not borne its own responsibility. The problem was never only a lack of proportionality. Many of these measures were not merely questionable, but actively destructive – and they benefited especially those who profited from vaccine marketing. Calling these measures “foolish” would be an understatement – more accurate: destructive, and with intent.
